Job Interviews via Text: BRB
While the Internet focuses on Donald Trump's tweeting, Millennials may be focusing on jobs--specifically, interview via text message. However, a millennial job-seeker named Jonathan Bortone opines in a Wall Street Journal letter to the editor (WSJ online edition requires a subscription) that text interviews are impersonal, and he wonders whether responses to texts hurt or hinder millennials' ability to think quickly and respond in a 'results-driven" workplace.
However, Dr. John Sullivan argues in Ere Media:
If you do interview via text, take a cue from Chapter 4 of AIN'T "U" GOT NO MANNERS and be mindful of autocorrect. AutoCorrectFail.com provides some cautionary tales. You want to be able to text your family and friends and say: "I got hired!"
